Taliban had recently attacked an Army school at Peshawar killing more than hundred children. The boxer on knowing this news had promised to visit Pakistan before the end of the year.
As promised on Christmas eve when everyone was celebrating the festival the 28 year old boxer landed in Pakistan to revive the spirit, support the victims and restore hope.
His generosity goes back during the Tsunami. He helped in raising money for the 2004 Tsunami victims. He even helped in food distribution in a relief camp in Pakistan after the Kashmir earthquake.
Child safety, stop violence against women, etc. are just few of the many causes that he had immensely supported.
His donation of shorts worth £30,000 that he had worn to raise money for the Army school in Peshawar is already making headlines.
On arriving Pakistan he had posted a tight security picture on Instagram.
Reports of him wanting to make a difference was all over the news. The idea of extending help against a huge terrorist agenda is highly risky.
Despite all the fear he is showing his support for the victims as promised.
He was quoted saying that he recently becoming a father couldn’t even imagine how the families of those children victims would be feeling.
