The United Arab Emirates is keen on developing its education sector on par with the best in the world and is open to learn from the experiences of developed countries, a senior official in UAE’s ministry of education said.
Assistant Under Secretary-Education Ali Mihad Al Suwaidi, who met an Austrian delegation led by Martin Dixon, minister of education of Australian state of Victoria, on Tuesday said the UAE “does not spare any effort to develop the best educational system”.
He also stressed on the ministry’s commitment in achieving the targets set in the Educational Development Strategy 2010-2015.
The official conveyed the regards of UAE Education Minister Humaid Al Qatami to the Australian delegation and cited the advanced education system in Australia in general and Victoria state in particular.
Dixon appreciated the continuous efforts of the UAE in improving the quality of education in the country.
