Music is universal language! And today we have got the literal example of it! Remember famous Punjabi track ‘ Patiala Peg’ by singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh?
We found that this party anthem is now at next level for an awesome cover of the song which is sung by a bunch of African exchange students. These students from Jalandhar’s CT Group of Institutions, created the video and it is now viral for all right reasons. This cover version is also produced by Speed Records like the original video.
Daniel Ngoma, Steven Mukalula, Temwa Nyasulu, George Matuchi and Lottie Mukuka hardly know the language but still they made the video trying to get all the words including the accent rightly.
According to a report by famous media house the Hindustan Times, “The African tadka started in January when 22-year-old Daniel Ngoma from Zambia, a student of BSc (IT) and the lead vocalist of a five-member group, sang a traditional Lohri song, Sundar Mundariye, at a function in their college, CT Group of Institutions, Jalandhar.”
This is not all, they also quite aptly performed Bhangra too!
