Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor made an appearance on this week’s Koffee with Karan. Kudos to Karan for trying so hard to dig out some interesting answers and quotes from the pair; they were simply so blah! Watching the episode felt like someone’s given me a terrific dose of tranquilizers, and I am going through the unbearable ordeal of staying awake. Shraddha Kapoor is a very pretty and attractive face but her answers were deadly dull. Aditya did show a spark of an entertainer every once in a while, but how much would the poor chap do all alone.
Sweetest moment on the show
While the Q & A session gave me the uncontrollable yawns, the crooning woke me up in a jiffy. Aditya and Shraddha are fabulous singers. The two sang Tum hi ho, the hit track from their own film and it would have been much better if they just sang throughout the episode. At least that would have saved us from that excruciating mental torture.
Since the number of boring moments easily surpassed the interesting ones, I thought of listing down a couple…
- Constantly harping about the ‘bromance’ between Aditya Roy Kapur and Ranbir Kapoor was a bit annoying. It seemed like KJo was really short of interesting topics to talk about. Or maybe incorporating a ‘gay’ angle in everything is the idea of ‘entertaining content’ according to him.
- Have you ever seen a mechanical person? Someone who parrots lines as if it’s been taught to them? That’s how Shraddha was on the show. Here are excerpts from the confab…
KJo: Are you and Adi in love
Ms K: (In a robotic tone) you should ask Aditya that.
KJo: You feel the need to live up to the expectations of your dad and aunt, who are celebrated actors?
Ms K: (peep peep peep…robotic energies charged) Of course I do!
Didn’t that sound as if Karan was talking to a machine of few words?
What I am waiting for?
The next episode (rolls her eyes in excitement). They showed a few extracts in the promo…Kajol is such a riot and Ayan is obviously known for his wit. The two cousins will make such a lethal combination, I can already imagine. My gut says the episode is going to be full on paisa & time-wasool. Stay tuned and read my review next week, ciao!
