He used to often come to the sets all drunk, and delay shoots, causing great difficulty to his co-stars and the whole cast and crew. Zee TV has initiated legal action against him. Infuriated with his inefficiency, the channel has decided to replace him and get a new face for the role of Asad.
The channel had time and again warned him and asked him to get his act together but despite all that Karan continued causing problems with his star-like attitude. It seems he used to often give excuses of being unwell, and the makers of the show would later discover that he is holidaying in some place.
A daily soap requires a lot of time and usually television stars dedicate up to 10-12 hours per day, at times more than that. But the makers of Qubool Hai claimed that Grover was so unprofessional that he would hardly give 5 hours to the show every week. The script writers had to create a new change in the story every other day only because of the actor’s laidback behaviour.
Grover has also done this in the past. He left the popular show Dill Mill Gaye just when a very important point arrived in the serial and was doing well, in terms of ratings. The show makers don’t regret chucking the actor out as they pampered him a lot, but didn’t get enough from him in return.
