Before a decade, who imaged that the small screen called Idiot Box was going to the bigger than the big screen!
Now-a-days television has become an integral part of our lives. The number of soap operas has increased over the past decade making way for a brigade of young and talented TV actors making their way into daily lives. We are mesmerized by their on screen avatars and relate to their character.
Television stars have become bigger than film stars. Their shows are being watched every day by millions of people not only in India but around the world.
Every time our favorite TV actors cry, we cry with them. We have made their happiness and sadness part of our lives and some even consider them family!
We love some couple’s on screen chemistry.
But do you think, they can carry the same chemistry off screen?
You bet they can and with ease.
Here are 5 actors whose love has grown from reel to real
SUSHANT SINGH and ANKITA LOKHANDE
3-4 years ago they were television’s hot favorite TV couple – Manav (Sushant) and Archana (Ankita Lokhande). Popularily known for their on screen chemistry is the television opera Pavitra Rishta. Little do we know, the couple has been dating since 5 years and is currently in a live-in relationship. They first met on the sets of this TV serial. While Sushant went on to become a Bollywood star, Ankita returned to the show. The couple seems to be madly in love. Rumors are doing the rounds that the couple is secretly married. So what? Sushant had proposed to Ankita on celebrity dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
RAM and GAUTAMI
Looking forward to that unconditional love, understanding and forever compatible couple, then you have just come across one of television’s most loved and celebrated couple – Ram and Gautami. They met on the sets of renowned TV serial Ghar Ek Mandir. After dating for quite some time they further strengthened their bond and got married in 2003. The couple has featured in numerous TV serials and films – the latest being Shaadi Ke Side Effects. While Ram currently plays the character of a millionaire Ram Kapoor in Bade Ache Lagthe Hai, Gautami prefers to stay at home and be the house-wife.
HITEN and GAURI
The happy go lucky Hiten and the no-nonsensical Gauri is the perfect example of opposites attract. They can be very well given the title of 21st century love birds of television as their sizzling chemistry in Kutumb paved their way into the hearts and minds of people. They brewing chemistry and pressure from the audience made Ekta Kapoor rope Gauri in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi as his on screen wife. But how did this all happen? The couple first met at an ad shoots for Breeze and now are happily married and blessed with twins.
KARAN GROVER and JENNIFER WINGET
The couple first met at the shoot of television serial Dil Mil Gaye. At that point in time, Karan was married to television actor Shraddha Nigam. But all was not well in paradise and the couple divorced. This made way to a new and budding friendship between Jennifer and Karan. While rumors did the rounds that Jennifer was the cause of the couple’s split, we care less as the couple is happily married. Both continue to do their respective work – one working in Saraswatichandra (Jennifer) and the other in Qubool Hai (Karan). Rumors doing the rounds are that Jennifer is pregnant. But there’s some good news for this couple’s fans. They are going to feature together by hosting Star Plus’ Holi ‘Masti Gulal Ki’.
INDRANEIL SENGUPTA and BARKHA BISHT
While all the hustle and bustle are about famous and well known couples, here’s another couple whose not in the media limelight but have taken their on screen romance to off screen. There are none other than Indraneil and Barkha. The couple first met on the sets of Pyaar Ke Do Naam – Ek Radha Ek Shyaam. The couple received a lot of praise due to their on screen chemistry as Radha and Shyaam. The couple decided to that their on screen chemistry further to the off screen and got married in 2008. They are proud parents of a beautiful daughter.
While these couples became a part of our lives on screen, they further continued their love for each other and strengthened their relationship off screen and knocked at the doors of marriage.
These are examples that love can happen at anywhere and at anytime. You just need to capture the moments and live. Although they are actors and work with other people as well, the reason for their lasting relationships is understanding and trust.
They chemistry not only sizzled in reel but is sizzling even in their real life.
We loved them on screen and continue to extend our love to these couples off screen.
