  • Alphonso, the King

  • Chaunsa

This is one of the sweetest mangoes. It has a golden yellow colour with a reddish hue. They are mostly grown in the Punjab of Pakistan and in few areas of North India.

  • Himsagar

Do not be fooled by its appearance. This type of mango mostly have a green skin but once you cut it, you will be greeted with a  reddish orange colour. The more orange it is, the better it tastes! Very sweet in taste, they are mostly available in West Bengal and Orissa.

  • Langra

Funny name, isn’t it? The fact is, it is one of the most superior varieties of mangoes found in India. It is generally found in the Varanasi area of UttarPradesh.

  • Dasheri

This mango, too,is one of the premium mangoes available now India. The Malihabad district of UP is the largest producer of this type of mango.

  • Badami Alphonso

This is known as the Alphonso of southern India. Mostly grown in Karnataka, this mango is just like the Alphonso mango in its taste and richness.

  • Keshari

This mango is mostly available in Saurashtra, Gujarat. It is so called because of the saffron orange colour of its skin and it’s inside.

  • Raspuri

This mango is oval in shape and is one of the juiciest mangoes found India. This too is sometimes called the Queen of mangoes in India because of its rich and sweet texture. It is mostly cultivated in Karnataka.

  • Banganapalli

This mango is mostly available throughout Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. These mangoes are large in size, one piece weighing about 350-400 grams.

  • Totapuri

This mango is primarily found in abundance in South India, in states like Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. This is known for its elongated shape and sweet creamy texture.
