This world is a beautiful fusion of all kinds of culture, religion and all that jazz.

Just imagine an amazing assortment of Spanish Flamenco and Indian Kalbelia folk dance at its best. The Jodhpur Flamenco and Gypsy Festival is a plethora of myriad cultures making people witness huge folklore leaving behind its numerous colours.

This festival is all set to rock the Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur.

The sole idea behind this festival is to keep up the spirit of folk and the gypsy culture with a good flow of talent.  It is good to see the city in the desert coming alive with this great festival.

It is believed that thousands of years ago a few gypsies went from Rajasthan to Spain and now they are all tracing back the routes with their regional music and dance. The one good thing is that despite of hailing different countries and having different languages, they still have an emotional connect as both the groups consider themselves having a similar nomadic life and this is the reason they like to celebrate the spirit together. Apart from this, the festival highlights the rich heritage of Rajasthan state making a special place in every tourist’s heart.

The stage just lights up when you see Kalbelia and Flamenco artists performing together making your heart fill with all zeal and happiness. The jugalbandi of both Rajasthani and Spanish artists is worth a watch and simply amazing.

The cultural exchange also has numerous talents and this festival serves as an amazing platform for the talent and to reach to different places across the globe. This year, the festival will host its second edition with extravagant performances that will set the stage on fire. Also, the festival goes on for three days from 3rd April to 5th April with unlimited talent and fun.

Along with some renowned Rajasthani folk artists like, Ghamshey Khan and Gafur Khan, you can expect performances from flamenco dancer Karen Lugo, flamenco piano artist Chano Dominguez and a lot more to add up to the list.

They say music has no languages and borders, it has that power to instantly connect one person to the other and the Jodhpur Flamenco and Gypsy Festival proves this part quite literally. So this is a shout for all those cultural lovers to be a part of this cultural extravaganza to have an amazing experience of your life.

Enjoy!
