The national capital city right now is going down with the temperature and the winters in Delhi are the one that are to be experienced.

Some the Indian dishes that hit the menu of this festival are Golgappas of Delhi, Mangodas from Madhya Pradesh, Famous Hyderabadi Biryani  etc.

The main idea behind this street food festival is to support the work of the street vendors and award them with their culinary skills. According to NASVI, promoting the street food and the identity of vendors will help in preserving the social – cultural diversity of India.

Amazing part is people from all the states of India take part in this Street Food Festival. Therefore, you can treat yourself with the delicious delicacies from all across the country.

This works as a sheer paradise for the entire food lovers, especially who are a fan of street food.

Also the aim of this festival is to make vendors know about the nutrition and health value of the food they make. They are informed about the importance of hygiene and that it will be good if they take care of the cleanliness, hygiene and nutrition of the food.

Other than food, there are also some cultural events and dance performances to bring closer all the diversities. This helps people to know more about the culture of different states.

Note: The Delhi Street Food Festival will take place from 25th December – 28th December 2014 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Lodhi Road, Delhi. There is also an entry fee of Rs. 50.
