From international destinations like Australia, Mauritius, Middle East and the Maldives to destinations like Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, the Andamans and Goa at home — the most sought after destinations are available on the site, said a statement.
Talking about the emerging trends in honeymoon bookings, Mohit Gupta, chief business officer-Holidays, MakeMyTrip said: “Customization is a top priority, especially for the one’s travelling internationally. We have seen between 25-30 percent growth this season for both domestic and international honeymoon bookings.”
“Destinations like Greece, Seychelles, Jordan, Spain and South Africa are emerging as new favorites, while we are seeing increased bookings this year for domestic leisure destinations like North East and Coorg,” added Gupta.
Moreover, the economic situation hasn’t spared honeymooners either.
MakeMyTrip has noticed advance booking by at least 90 days before travel date, showing that honeymoons have a higher advance purchase window than other typical domestic vacations.
