February is the month that might blow up your savings. We suggest you spend wisely and pick one these fabulous events to attend.
February is one of the busiest months for bands. You will find them missing from their respective cities and travelling to various parts of the county for music festivals. These music events are crazy fun and a must visit. Obviously you can’t attend them all (or can you?) but we highly recommend you make a bucket-list for yourself and each year strike out at least one of them.

Sula Festival:
Sula wines has almost become the face of Indian wine industry for most wine lovers. When they started celebrating their harvest season a few years back, they got a good response. The festival has become grander over the last few years. It is a 2 day carnival where there is nothing like too much wine; you could drink your wine, listen to the hottest Indie bands in the country, eat and also indulge in bazaar shopping. We recommend you book your accommodation well in advance as the city has a limited number of hotels. Another thing to remember is to carry a warm jacket as the area gets colder post sunset.

Mahindra Blues Festival
This is considered as Asia’s finest music festival! It brings to Mumbai two days of best guitar-rippin’, soul-trippin’ music. It was started in 2011 and in the inception year itself they had Blues legends such as Buddy Guy, John Lee Hooker Jr., Taj Mahal, and Walter Trout, among others perform live for the Blues fans. This year it is they look promising considering their line up has the Tedeschi Trucks Band, Jimmie Vaughan, Lil ‘ Ed, Zac Harmon, Doyle Bramhall II and more. The event happens inside theiconic Mehboob Studio in Mumbai. It is always recommended to go at least half an hour before the gig starts as the studio has limited space. If you are a student flash your ID and get a student discount on your tickets.

World Sufi Spirit Festival
Imagine listening to Sufi artist performing live in front of you at a beautiful location such as Rajasthan! Takes us to seventh heaven all the way… This festival is simply Sufi and breathtakingly colourful. It is an experience that one must not skip witnessing. The artists of the likes of Kavita Seth and Javed Bashir will be performing at two of the most beautiful forts in the area.

Ragasthan
They call themselves ‘India’s craziest music festival’ and they do so for a reason! This crazy music festival is hosted in the dunes of Jaisalmer desert. It has hints of San Fransisco’s Burning man festival except for there is nothing burning here. This holistic festival includes adventure sports, camping, art from across the country, film screenings and more. In terms of music, there are four stages Morio Main Stage, Ammara Electronic Stage, Olun World Stage, Open Mic – Singer Song Writer Stage that will have various well-known artists from across the world perform. Make sure you visit their website read up on the safety instruction as the venue is in the middle of a desert.

Storm Festival
This is the third edition of Storm Festival and it has only gone bigger since inception. It has various artists performing across 5 stages. The venue is spread across 200 acres and is extremely green and pretty. What makes it worth the storm is that it is a 3 nights and 2 days camp-out music festival that will blow your mind with pure awesome music. Just as Sula, this too is in the outskirts so carrying warm clothes is essential.
Ticket cost: Festival + Regular Tent for two days will cost you Rs. 9000
