Who doesn’t like bigger and beautiful pair of eyes? The depth and shape of eyes are measured by their size and the bigger they are, the better they look. We tell you some easy tips to make them pop. Read on:
White eyeshadow:
Dab a generous amount of white eyeliner and shadow on your waterline as well as the lids to make your whites appear bigger. This will give an illusion of longer eyes and bigger pupils. Go for cream-based shadow so that it stays longer than powder-based ones. If white is not available, opt for light peaches and roses instead.
Winged-tip eyes:
Another quick way to make your eyes look bigger is to draw them out! Yes, grab a gel-based liner and draw neat strokes of winged-tips that extend from the outer corner of your eyes till the base of the temple. Give them definition by merging two or more colours together. The wings will make your eyes pop and make them appear larger than they are. Opt for blue liners as they will set off nicely against your whites. If blue is not your colour, merge grey with black or use midnight blue.
Longer lashes:
Sexy lashes are what makes eyes really noticeable. Highlight your peepers by loading up on mascara that’s long lasting and voluminous. Apply your mascara before drawing the liner and kohl, so you have a fair idea of how much more definition to be applied to your eyes. Once you have applied the mascara, curl the lashes with a curler and apply a second coat of mascara on the curled lashes. The longer and more defined the lashes, the sexier and bigger the eyes.
Extension of crease:
If you don’t have any of these fancy products at home and are running late for a hot date, simply play up your crease with your kohl pencil. Draw your waterline outward, away from the crease, while keeping your upperline towards the crease. The point at which the two lines meet can be extended up to your temples or beyond. But don’t draw thick lines or try to go smoky on them, as that can make your eyes smaller or completely disappear.
Thicker liner at the edges:
Before applying your liner, use a gel-based kohl to draw a rough line that can be filled up with the gel. Make sure that your edges are thicker than the water/upperline. Once you have drawn the line, fill the gaps with liner by drawing a thin line at the beginning and rounding off with a thick stroke. The criss-cross of thick and thin will create an illusion of bigger and sexier eyes.
While these make-up tips come handy for a quick fix, it’s better to keep your eyebrows perfectly arched, your eyes well rested and nourished to make them appear lively. Because if your peppers are vibrant and twinkling, the size won’t matter!
