The blue eyeshadow, considered the mark of runways, is now a fashion trend sported by women like you and me. It could be a rather tricky colour to pull off, but looks lovely and vibrant when done the right way. We tell you ways to rock blue shadow. Read on!
Who can pull it off?
Blue looks the best on women with very fair or dark skin. It complements copper or dark hair the most and looks smashing on girls with brown, grey and hazel eyes. Women with blue eyes can use the shadow to make their eyes pop, or skip it altogether to let their eyes do all the talking.
Blending is the thumb rule:
If you don’t want the bold tone to look out of place and cheap, blend it well with a brush as well as your middle finger. Blending will not only give it the much needed sheen, but also make your eyes pop. Use a professional brush in different sizes to naturally blend your shadow.
Light lips:
Since you’re going bold with your eyes, opt for soft and even nude lips. You can go for baby pinks, blush mauves and even light brown for your lips. You don’t want to look like a cartoon, so don’t wear coral, red and orange shades, despite them being the colours of the season.
No matching-matching, please!
Never match your clothes or accessories with your shadow. That’ll lake you look like a clown for sure. Go for a colour that will complement the blue and not make you stand out like a sore thumb.
Side-swept hair:
If you really want your look to make an impression , let it do all the talking. Don’t go for big hair or complicated hairdos. Simply opt for the side-swept mane look to give your eyes prominence.
