The film stars Deepika, Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra and is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Deepika had also sported 30kgs ghagra in ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram-Leela ’.

Anju Modi had designed the 30kgs ghagra with a 50metres diameter keeping the touch of Kutch region.
This was also directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The director has some weighty affairs with his actresses.
In the film ‘Devdas’ again directed by SLB Madhuri Dixit had to wear an outfit that weighed 30kgs. She was wearing this outfit and dancing in the song ‘Kaahe Chhed Mohe’
In this film there was also news about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s ear bleeding during the shoot of the song ‘Dola re dola’. The earrings she wore were too heavy for her fragile ears and unable to bear the weight, started bleeding.
