So, just wonder, if these very wrestlers ever to work in a B-town film? Just for the matter, a Salman Khan or Hrithik Roshan could finally meet their worthy competitors.
So which WWE wrestler could be that ‘lucky one’? We find out:
John Cena
He’s already familiar with the big screen, John Cena knows how acting is when he starred in the WWE produced- The Marine. Cena is quite famous amongst the Indian audiences and if he are to star in a Bollywood movie, producers and the director will have to fret over the choice of selecting a heroine.
Randy Orton
Another WWE superstar, Randy Orton, who is currently the World and also the Heavyweight Champion. Randy fits the bill of an action hero but also seeing him play a negative character on the WWE franchise; a villainous role could also be on the cards.
AJ Lee
Bollywood is not about ‘all-men’ starrer movies these days and there are some exceptions. Women-centric movies are doing well at the box-office and that’s where wrestler AJ Lee could fit the bill. AJ could give a hard time to those villains on-screen and not to mention, the likes of Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra might already start fretting over.1
CM Punk
Why should we always relate a wrestler to an action film? Can’t we not do a rom-com movie? Yes, CM Punk can! Punk has got those looks that can leave a lady drooling over.
Santino Marella
If anybody talked about comedy movies in B-town, bring in Santino Marella. The Italian wrestler is known to tickle the funny bone when in the ring and this could be the perfect thing for him to land in a major comedy Bollywood flick.
Cody Rhodes
Films that are youth-centric or basically depend on youth days, too have an audience liking towards it. And that’s where Cody Rhodes steps in who can fit the role of college-going, girls swooning boy next door. His good looks can easily land him in a movie opposite the likes of Shraddha Kappor or Parineeti Chopra.
And last but not the least, the Great Khali does get our nod.
Why should we overlook our large-sized Indian, who is grappling down the American wrestlers with his bare wrists.
There may be accent issues or language barriers but in today’s Bollywood films, any actor or actress can easily settle into the movie.
If the above selected wrestlers ‘do’ star in any of our Bollywood films, expect the rise in ticket prices and the likes of Aamir Khan to go on a dharna!
