It’s not only the Indian cricket and Indian fans who are going to miss the Master Blaster after all! F1 driver Nico Rosberg, who drives for Mercedes, is the one of the billions who are sad at the retirement of Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, even though the German admits he is not a fan of the game.
Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar who is set to bid adieu to cricket next month. Sachin will end his cricketing career at the very place where he began, Mumbai. With his retirement, people from world over have reacted that incldues F1 driver Nico Rosberg.
Speaking ahead of the Indian Grand Prix Nico spoke to the press and express his sadness, “I heard he is retiring. It is a great pity, especially for the Indian public. I met him last year when I was here for the race. He came across as a true F1 fan,” said Rosberg on Wednesday ahead of the Indian Grand Prix this weekend.
Rosberg, who hails from Germany, admitted that he does not follow cricket and added, “The game is not popular in Germany and even in Monaco where I stay now. I have tried following it but I don’t really like it. I love football but the thing is I am not really good at it.”
Currently, lying sixth in the Championship table with 126 points, Rosberg will be vying to finish the Indian GP on a high note.
