The lunch box in the school – one of the most important part of our mighty school was ‘œThe lunchbox’. Those were the days, when our moms use to prepare some of the lip-smacking snacks by getting up in the wee hours of the morning.
Reminiscing about our childhood days, memories come gushing about the fun, liveliness, innocence, school and holidays – school being the best part and of course having the longest of the memories associated with it.
Every single person has their own set of memories about their beloved school and can never be erased.
They are some of the best and loveliest days anyone can have and they still are vivid in everyone’s mind. So, one of the most important part of our mighty school was “The lunchbox”.
Those were the days, when our moms use to prepare some of the lip-smacking snacks by getting up in the wee hours of the morning. Whatever happens, food has always remained an integral part, be it the school days or the college days. But school days do have much of the Dabba memories than the college.
So let’s walk back to the time and remember about what happened when we used to bring the lunchbox in the school!
Caught having lunch during the classes
This was one of the most adventurous things to do in class. It did require much of skills to clear up the tiffin box while the teacher was busy teaching algorithms or may be the French Revolution. We were busy relishing on the food. Well, I had a very bad track record; I was caught couple of times by the teacher!
When bringing sandwiches was one of the proud moments
Having some cool exotic dishes in your lunch box was a proud moment among all of your classmates. Sandwiches, noodles, bread rolls all of these relishing dishes in your lunch box was something really good and there were many people who gave you a special treatment just for the sake of the lunch!
Lunch being finished before the lunch time
This is one thing that always happened with most of the people. Many a times the owner of the lunchbox himself was not aware of when the lunchbox was finished by the other mates. And then there used to be a contribution to hog on some canteen-made samosas during the lunch!
Surprise visit by the Principal while having lunch
That moment when you are enjoying your yummy lunch with your friends in the class during the free period and suddenly you witness a surprize visit by the Principal of the school! Well here the record has been good, no scores till date!
So as we can see, a lot used to happen over a single lunchbox during the school days.
Now, what we are left with is just memories to reminisce and all you can do is just smirk!
