While preparing the report, several factors like crime levels, terrorism, weapons import are considered.

The least peaceful nations are Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, South Sudan, Central African Republic, Somalia, Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Pakistan and North Korea (mentioned in order of their ranks).
