Brother Of Nirbhaya Booked For Raping Widow Woman And Stealing Her Jewellery!

India’s rage over the brutal torture meted out to Delhi’s Nirbhaya was appeased to some extent by the death sentence awarded to her torturers.

The nation hoped that other perverts would learn a well-deserved lesson. However, it was not to be.

As per Times of India, A similar gang rape was witnessed in Rohtak, with the victim being a 23-year-old divorcee this time. Nicknamed Rohtak’s Nirbhaya, she had been missing from home since May 9, 2017. Her body was found in an open field on May 11, 2017.

Detailed examination of her body revealed that the kidnapped victim had been raped repeatedly, tortured with sharp instruments being inserted into her private parts and killed with the aid of a brick aimed at her head.

Three men were arrested for committing the heinous crime.

One can well imagine how the family must be feeling, after seeing the dead body of the victim.

At the same time, one wonders if the victim’s brother can be forgiven for what he did later. As per nyooz.com, Chandigarh’s online newspaper, the Sonepat victim’s brother may be dubbed a rapist too. He is stated to have raped a widow, who had always been close to his family. The widow lives alone, and is in her early 40s. Both her daughters are married and live elsewhere. Her only son is in prison, as he is involved in a murder case. According to this widow, the rapist was quite drunk when he came to her house sometime ago. Not content with just raping her, the rapist made away with all her jewellery and other valuables too.

Regardless of what the victim is stating, the police are taking no chances with getting their facts correct before making any arrests. Ashwin Shenvi, the Superintendent of Police, told News Trend that they were treading cautiously, for the rapist and victim were very well known to each other. Any kind of action could be taken only after every detail of the case had been collected and verified.

No one from the media has been able to talk to the supposed rapist just as yet.
