India is offended with yet another breach of ceasefire violations in Jammu and Kashmir regardless of Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s promise during recent talks with Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh to uphold inviolability along the Line of Control (LoC).
India is trying to collect proof of Pakistan Army’s existence among the infiltrations in order to raise the matter robustly with Islamabad.
While the Indian Army has so far refuted that any Pakistani troop had crossed over to the Indian territory. Indeed whether any army man was present in the appearance of infiltrators would only be known once all the bodies of the killed infiltrators are recovered.
In the Keran sector of Jammu and Kashmir, the current scene of the ongoing gunbattle is a heavily militarized sector at the height of 9,000 – 10,000 feet and according to the government sources, authentic fact could only be learned once the operation finishes.
India will produce evidence to the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi if enquiry discloses that Pakistani troops have infiltrated into the country. The issue will evidently be raised at Directors General of Military Operation (DGMO) level meet. The DGMO of both countries are likely to meet soon to talk about measures to decrease border tensions as decided at the PM-level meeting in New York recently.
What has shocked the Indian officials is the number of infiltrators in the Karen sector. Reportedly a source said “the number is perplexing. The operation is well-planned and coordinated. Such attacks are making it hard for India to take the relations with Pakistan forward. Nawaz Sharif’s tough words do not match with the actions on ground. The only way to tackle with such infiltration is to answer powerfully on the ground.”
India has made it apparent that improvement of the circumstances along the LoC is a prerequisite for forward movement in the bilateral relationship. India’s stand was also made clear by none other than President Pranab Mukherjee in an interview with Euronews in Brussels recently. Mukherjee affirmed, “One point is to be understood – no country can compromise its territorial integrity. Second is terrorism – terrorist activities must be stopped, and state-sponsored terrorism can never be accepted.”
Around seven militants were gunned down in 24 hours in a gun battle that’s been ranging for almost 12 days. Pakistan indeed tried a third infiltration bid on October 5. Not just this, crucial transcripts with a national news channel confirm Pakistan’s hand in the Kathua attack. How long will Pakistan remain in denial?
A national news channel accesses JEM terrorists’ transcript which proves Pakistan’a hand in the Kathua strike. The transcripts disclose how a Pakistan control room is pushing in militants onto the Indian side.
