Rahul Baba it’s high time that you and your party members should connect with the people and their problems or else Congress would be wiped out in 2014.
It was believed to be a show of power for the Congress but driven out to be rather a humiliation, with a poor attendance at an election rally in New Delhi forcing Rahul Gandhi to end his speech in just about seven minutes.
Firstly, the organizers failed to get a wholesome crowd and above that, Rahul made matters worse by arriving three hours late.
Rahul stressed on Dikshit government’s growth and development record and slammed the BJP but the audience didn’t look affianced and parts of it got up to leave. The crowd had breakfast in a rush to listen to Rahul Baba, but he only turned up near lunch time. Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit urged the crowd to wait and listen to Rahul Gandhi but all in vain.
Sunday’s disheartening show could be a reason of worry for Congress. The organizers will now have to clarify to the headship the causes for the poor turnout.
Around 5,000 people had congregated to hear Gandhi, mainly from the close by resettlement colonies considered a vote bank area of the Congress.
Although the crowd applauded when Rahul Gandhi emerged on the stage to speak, but on the sidelines many were heard complaining of the sky touching prices of necessary commodities.
Reportedly, as people started voicing their anger over the price rise, a woman Congress worker appeared among the crowd and hushed them up and asked them to shout loudly ‘Rahul Gandhi zindabad’.
Well we don’t need to say any further, the incident shows the growing distance between the common man and the so called party of common man ‘the Congress’.
So Rahul Baba, speeches will not work anymore, it’s high time that you and your party members should connect with the people and their problems or else Congress would be wiped out in 2014.
