List Of Phobias: We all have certain kinds of phobias.
PHOABIA: An extreme or irrational fear of or aversion to something.
Though we don’t talk about ‘em in public, we are secretly aware about the kinds of phobias that we have. From the fear of heights to the fear of deep waters, you’ll meet many people who have these phobias. It is an obvious thing that you’ll come across people who have a certain phobia, which is not really a danger for you. On the other end, you’ll meet people being cool around the object that you fear.
It is a normal thing.
Talking about phobias, I would like to tell you, that there are many kinds of phobia. You might not know some, and that’s the reason this artist illustrated ‘em. For a moment, you might end up saying “I’ve this phobia too” etc.

- EPISTEMOPHOBIA: Fear Of Knowledge
People with this fear will do anything to stay away from books and will not read anything on the newspaper or magazine. One might also refuse to watch television for fear that they might learn something from it.
- PHILOPHOBIA: Fear Of Love
Individuals who suffer from this phobia fear romantic love or forming emotional attachments of any sort. Often this phobia is known to have cultural or religious roots, where the person may have been committed to an arranged marriage and hence fears falling in love.
- AGORAPHOBIA: Fear Of Public Places & Open Spaces
Agoraphobia is known as an abnormal fear of public places and open spaces. It is considered as an anxiety disorder however, it is now believed to be a complication of panic attacks.
- EISOPTROPHOBIA: Fear Of Mirrors
Most people with this fear are not afraid of the mirror itself, but of the image it produces. With social pressure to maintain an attractive appearance, most people use mirrors as a tool. The phobic, however, will avoid mirrors and in extreme cases will avoid going out at all for fear of seeing their own reflection.
- CHEROPHOBIA: Fear Of Happiness
Aversion to happiness, also called Cherophobia or fear of happiness, is an attitude towards happiness in which individuals may deliberately avoid experiences that invoke positive emotions or happiness.
- COULROPHOBIA: Fear Of Clowns
Coulrophobia is the persistent and irrational fear of clowns. The word “clown” may have evolved from “cloyne”, “clod” or “colonus”, meaning a country bumpkin, farmer, yokel or someone who lacks common sense.
- NECROPHOBIA: Fear Of Corpses
Necrophobia is the fear of corpses, death or dead things. The origin of the word Necro is Greek (meaning death or dead) and phobia is Greek (meaning fear).
- PYROPHOBIA: Fear Of Fire
Pyrophobia is an irrational fear of fire, beyond what is considered normal. This phobia is ancient and primordial, perhaps since mankind’s discovery of fire.
- OPHIDIOPHOBIA: Fear Of Snakes
Ophidiophobia or ophiophobia is a particular type of specific phobia, the abnormal fear of snakes. It is sometimes called by a more general term, herpetophobia, fear of reptiles and/or amphibians.
- TRYPANOPHOBIA: Fear Of Needles
Fear of needles, known in medical literature as needle phobia, is the extreme fear of medical procedures involving injections or hypodermic needles.
