There is nothing that thrills a foodie than free food and beverages in a big fat Indian wedding. Gate crashing can be the coolest and the most thrilling experience.

The wedding planners would be cursing me after reading this article. But foodies like me gate crash with the intention to reduce food wastage and a few well-wishers in the marriage would only add on to the positive vibe.
Gate crashing is definitely fun but if caught then it can be extremely embarrassing.
There were reports of Vivek Oberoi gate crashing a party thrown by SRK for Farhan’s birthday. Apparently he landed the event without invitation and started showing off his biking skills but unfortunately his bike refused to even start.
Although the intention of crashing the party was different but there are a few points that I thought would share with the foodies out there to reduce the chances of such embarrassing situations.
Firstly there would be many who would give a long speech on dressing rightly and stuff like that. Frankly I won’t speak about that.
I would just say that you need to ‘wear your attitude’.
In this stressful age I have even seen people attending marriages straightaway returning from work. Enter with the right attitude and you are sorted.
Go for a crowded wedding.
It is easier to get lost in a crowd. When there are loads of people nobody really cares about two to three extras. Nobody would notice you. Just try to be invisible but if eyes get locked do not turn away. Go with the flow and a smile should do well.
Like I shared Vivek Oberoi’s example please do not do stunts that might attract attention.
For example going and dancing with the crowd or singing on stage, unless you are a real life actor try to play safe and maintain a low profile.
Carry an empty envelope just in case.
Finally the most important point:
Eat but try not to over eat.
I completely understand after successfully reaching the buffet and hitting the bar the temptation is tremendous. This is the real test. After so much effort you really don’t want people to notice you and throw you out of the event.
Too much greed isn’t healthy.
So fill the plate moderately. Enjoy the meal, have your drinks and leave in style.
Exit with the same attitude you wore while entering and do not rush out.
