Today we have compiled a list of some weird, deadliest and precarious roads that are way too uncanny for us to pass from them. But unfortunately these roads are functional.

1. Highway From Hell- Lena Highway, Russia

This highway is aptly known “Highway from Hell” as people have trudge through the entire muddy stretch which is tiring as hell. The road runs parallel to the river Lena and during the summer season deluge due to rain make the road a mud pit.

2. Eshima Ohashi Bridge in Japan looks more like a roller coaster than a bridge

This roller coaster bridge is one of the most terrifying roads in the world. Its height is 1509 ft and is arguably the tallest bridge in the world and connects the cities of Shanghai and Chendo.

3. Road of Death- North Yungas Road, Bolivia

These roads test both the skill and courage of  driver as according to the Inter-American Development Bank, the North Yungas Road which is also known as Death Road, in Bolivia is dubbed as most dangerous road in the world. Every year it claims around 200 to 300 people’s lives. This narrow stretch which connects Bolivian capital La Paz to Coroico.

4. Steepest Road

Baldwin Street, is a suburban street in New Zealand. It’s 230 feet high and it’s distance is 1150 feet.  Native people challenge the fittest athletes to run it but no could have achieved the feat. Will you accept the challenge?

5. World’s Crooked Road- Lombard St – San Francisco

This particular stretch is scary enough for today’s drivers due to it’s hairpin bends. Fatal clashes can happen if drivers speed up and drive the cars recklessly.

6. The Himalayan Road-

This Himalayan road which is meant as bypass between India and Tibet is highest road in the world with an altitude of about  11578 ft. The roads are not even created properly, basically the one way lane is made of crumbling dirt and the other side of road is mountains. It.

7. Guoliang Tunnel Road, China

This hollow particular tunnel is carved through the a mountain in China.  It’s said that the hollow was created by some villagers from this area. Thankfully, there’s hardly traffic over here but still it’s very dangerous.
