Watch: Yogi Adityanath Ripping Apart Congress’ Claims While Rahul Gandhi Hides In Parliament

The Bhartiya janata Party MP from Gorakhpur took Congress by arm on its claim that there has been a sudden rise in the communal violence since Narendra Modi-led government took oath.

It was that rare event where a member of the Parliament gave a fitting reply to all those who consider themselves ‘more secular’ than others. When Yogi Adityanath rose to speak on the issue of communal violence raised by Congress party patrons, no one could have imagined the hardness of the slap they were about to get.

The Bhartiya janata Party MP from Gorakhpur took Congress by arm on its claim that there has been a sudden rise in the communal violence since Narendra Modi-led government took oath.

The Economic Times quoted Adityanath from the debate: “They (the pseudo-secular forces) split the country on communal lines in 1947 and there is a conspiracy to split the country again on Pakistan’s agenda. There is a conspiracy against the Hindu way of life and the people are uniting against this. Hindutva is a symbol of Indian nationalism. The Hindu religion does not allow the superiority of any one religion. Even Muslims who go for Haj are known as Hindus.”

Citing several instances of riots in various parts of the country and specifically in Congress-ruled states like Assam and Maharashtra, Adityanath questioned Congress’ integrity. “There were incidents that took place in Mumbai at Azad Maidan where police personnel were beaten up but Congress never spoke on that issue. They also did not speak when Kashmiri Pandits were displaced from their homes. They are working on Pakistan agenda,” he said.

Hitting the Congress party and its allies on their policy of Muslim appeasement, Adityanath said, “You claim you are secular but the agenda you implement is communal… there are 12 lakh Hindu saints in the country but you talk about giving salaries to imams. Is this secularism?”

“Hindu religion followers will have to organize themselves. People in the country are getting ready for this to counter such appeasement at every level,” he thundered.

Giving a solution to the Congress’ allegations, Adityanath finally proposed that there should be an independent SIT probe for each of the incidences allegedly taken place as charged by Congress.

Interestingly, the leader, who was first to level such allegation on the government and had disrupted the Parliamentary proceeding by jumping into the well of the house, had hidden his face during the debate. Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi was sitting silently with his eyes lowered and ignorant of the ongoing debate.

The people on social media were very much happu with the debate. Even those who are considered a voice of dissent had a change of heart:

Some indicated towards Raul Gandhi’s silence:

<blockquote class=”twitter-tweet” lang=”en”><p>When Yogi Adityanath claimed that Congress was following Pakistan&#39;s agenda, many Congressis got agitated, except one <a href=”http://t.co/9s9gOFLA0n”>pic.twitter.com/9s9gOFLA0n</a></p>&mdash; Rahul Roushan (@rahulroushan) <a href=”https://twitter.com/rahulroushan/statuses/499627445746941952″>August 13, 2014</a></blockquote>

But mostly there was praise for Yogi Adityanath, who is younger that Rahul Gandhi:

Now, the public is waiting for a point by point rebuttal of Yogi Adityanath’s allegations and claims by Congress. After looking at Rahul Gandhi’s condition, we think it will be a tall order for Congress.
