Nah na, not ‘œSheila ki jawani’ hot, but the ‘œDilli wali garmi’ hot. Don’t believe me, do you?
You are outraged? And want to vent it? Twitter is the best place to do so. In fact it has become such a fad that some go through withdrawal symptoms if there is no outrage to be a part of. People ask for it, make business out of it and even plan their whole day around it.
Generally it is the business of twitter activists and sh(AAP)m activists, but few high society intelligentsia too storm the twitter whenever they feel like. It’s like ‘an outrage a day, keeps the twitter alive’.
So, as usual, one person asked:
Whats the topic for outrage today ??

And voila! Kerala Governor and former chief minister of Delhi Sheila Dikshit provided one reason. She is very hot! Nah na, not “Sheila ki jawani” hot, but the “Dilli wali garmi” hot. Don’t believe me, do you?
See:
Sheila Dikshit’s house had 31 ACs, 14 heaters http://t.co/FBhK56etRH #IndiaTV

This information has come out in response to an RTI query filed by one Subhash Chandra Agrawal.
According to various reports, the former chief minister got the Delhi government’s public works department to fix these and many more high electricity consuming devices at her former Type VIII bungalow on 3, Motilal Nehru Marg at the time when the city struggled with a perpetual shortage of electricity.
The PWD, in its response to the RTI filed by Agrawal, revealed that the agency spent over Rs 16 lakh on just the electrical renovations to the bungalow before Dikshit made it her official residence. The three-term former Delhi CM had moved into the bungalow at the start of her second term in 2004.
Besides the ACs, coolers and the heaters, Dikshit got fitted in the 5,700-sq-ft Lutyens’ Delhi bungalow 16 air purifiers, 12 geysers, three television sets, two microwave ovens, two water coolers, two RO systems, and a deep freezer besides two refrigerators. The house has three big bedrooms, five bathrooms, a huge drawing hall, dining room and six servant quarters.
In its reply to the RTI application, the PWD also said it has removed the electrical appliances after Dikshit moved out in February this year. Some of these appliances are currently being used in various government offices.
But the twitteratis did not need to go much into the details. They outraged as all are crusaders of sustainable development and want a better Earth:

Interestingly, the same bungalow was allotted to former prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh by the CPWD as his post-retirement government accommodation.
What can we say; poor Dr Singh needs to take his outrage to twitter. Afterall, he could have used all these appliances and saved himself from the heat. But he is silent, like always.
