‘˜Moditva’ essentially denotes to the philosophy through which Modi is trying to capture the imagination of the people of this country.
BJP prime ministerial candidate and Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi should thanks cartoonist Sudhir Tailang who coined the term ‘Moditva’ few years ago. Today, the word has earned global presence. Well, at least it is trending on twitter since morning.
Modi’s popularity is on an all time high and the popular discourse, especially among the youth, is catching up with his ideas. ‘Moditva’ essentially denotes to the philosophy through which Modi is trying to capture the imagination of the people of this country.
Taking cue from this word, author Sidhharth Mazumdar has written a book titled ‘Moditva – the Idea behind the Man’. The book was released today by BJP president Rajnath Singh in Delhi. According to BJP website, the book is “an attempt to analyze, evaluate and explain the vision of Modi”.
The book has a collection of 14 short essays drawn from the quotes of Modi on critical challenges facing the country such as economy, governance, education etc. Through these essays, Mazumdar has tried to establish an ancient Indian connect to each quote. Every idea of Modi presented in the book is validated by a successful international and domestic example.
Published by Navbharat Sahitya Mandir, Ahmedabad (Gujarati and English editions) and Prabhat Prakashan, Delhi (Hindi edition), the book has been edited and compiled by Citizens for Accountable Governance, which is a youth professional body with over 2,00,000 onground volunteers trying to shape public discourse in India.
Prior to the release, the twitter handle of RSS asked a question:
