Kejriwal has made tall promises of free water supply, slashing of electricity bills, constructing new schools and hospital. But how will he fulfil them
Congress on Monday offered clear support to AAP as they want to notice the amazing test of providing free water and electricity at half rates to the residents of Delhi as assured by Arvind Kejriwal in AAP’s manifesto.
Reportedly, federal minister Salman Khurshid when asked why Kejriwal is reluctant to from the government even after getting support from Congress. He answered, “Congress has extended unconditional support to AAP as it wants to witness the miraculous experiment of free water and power rate slashed by 30 per cent to Delhiites”.
It was quite shocking that Congress had recently written a letter to Delhi’s lieutenant governor Najeeb Jung offering ‘unconditional support’ of eight legislators to AAP for forming government. Though, immediately after, AAP blamed Congress and BJP for looking forward to its support for forming government.
BJP refused to form government quoting shortage of required numbers, after which Jung invited Kejriwal to talk about the matter, but he also refused to form the government.
Yesterday AAP leader Manish Sisodia said that they will not take a hurried decision and leave the decision on the residents of Delhi to choose who they want to see as their leader.
Kejriwal has made tall promises of free water supply, slashing of electricity bills, constructing new schools and hospital. But how will he fulfil these assurances and where will the resources be arranged for fulfilling all these promises?
President’s rule appears a possibility in Delhi as both BJP and AAP, the major vote gainers in the polls, have declined to form government.
One more thing that appears visible is that maybe Congress and BJP are working hand in glove to destroy AAP before the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
