Old American all Girls Bands – 90s was the golden era for music in America and we have testimony to prove this statement.
There was an arresting beauty about the songs which young guns could completely relate to. It was the age of pop, Hip Hop and Modern R&B which we still can resonate with. Some notable names like the Spice Girls, Destiny’s Child, Salt-N-Pepa, All Saints marked the genre of pop music then.

1 – Spice Girls:
Spice Girls was a famous American Girl Band and the members were Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Victoria Beckham. This teen pop band was originated in London and was famous for doing concert tours around the globe. Some of their landmark songs are, Wannabe, Spice up your life, Mama, Tell me why, Christmas wrapping etc.
2 – Destiny’s Child:
Destiny’s Child gave us the best talents in the American music scene such as Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams. This band which comprised of these three girls, was founded in the year 1990 and was active until 2000. They did concert tours and left their mark on hearts. Some of their notable albums are, Destiny’s Child, The Writing’s on the wall, Survival, 8 days of Christmas.
3 – Salt-N-Pepa:
This band was founded by an American hip hop trio Cheryl James, Sandra Denton in the year 1855 and was active until 2002, then after a sabbatical, they reformed again in 2007 and is active now. Some of their notable albums are, Hot, Cool & Vicious, A Salt with a Deadly Pepa, Blacks’ Magic, Very Necessary.
4 – All Saints:
It is a British girl group formed in London. It consisted of Melanie Blatt, Shaznay Lewis and Simone Rainford which started in the year 1993 and was active until 2001, then 2006-2010 and 2013–present. Some of their notable albums are, All saints, Saints and Sinners, Studio 1, Red Flag.
5 – Girl Pool:
It was a folk punk band which was found in the year 2013 and is still active. The members are Cleo Tucker and Harmony Tividad. Some of their notable albums are, Before the World was big, Powerplant.
