Recently unveiled by Xiaomi in Beijing, is the Xiaomi Mi Pad tablet, the first ever tablet launched by the manufacturer.
It also boasts of being the world’s first NVIDIA Tegra K1 powered tablet. Inspired by the design and display specs of an Apple iPad Mini, the new Xiaomi Mi Pad tablet hopes to bite a chunk out of its rival’s customers. Available in five vibrant hues of pink, blue, green, yellow, and white, the Xiaomi Mi Pad dons an 8.5mm thick glossy plastic body. With rounded corners and thin bezel, the tablet weighs 360 gms, and comes loaded with palm detection feature.

Sporting a 7.9-inch Sharp display, with 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution and 324 ppi pixel density, the tablet offers a rich retina display of 4:3 aspect ratio. Powered by 2.2GHz Nvidia Tegra K1 quad-core chipset teamed with a 192-core Kepler GPU and 2 GB of RAM, the device runs Android 4.4.2 toppled with the company’s own MIUI. Other Xiaomi Mi Pad features include Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, stereo speakers on the front, and various sensors.
Storage
The tablet brings onboard internal storage of 16 GB or 64 GB with additional support up to 128 GB by using a MicroSD card.
Camera
The device packs an 8 MP Sony camera at the back and a 5 MP f/2.0 shooter at the front. The rear camera also features BSI Sensor and 1080p video recording.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11, USB 2.0, and Bluetooth.
