Launched few years back, the Samsung Galaxy Beam was the first smartphone to flaunt a projector, a trend which failed to spark interest in the global market. However, the new Samsung Galaxy Beam 2 aims to spur demand, owing to its larger display, higher resolution, powerful processor, capacious battery, and improved projector features. The Samsung Galaxy Beam 2 projector phone gives the ease of displaying a presentation or creating a mini-theatre anywhere. The professional-level mini-projector enables users to project a movie, sporting event, or any other application on an external surface, making the device ideal for sharing entertainment with family and friends. With an expected launch of Samsung Galaxy Beam 2 in Q2 of 2014, the phone will have a limited release, primarily targeting the China market.
Design & Built
Inspired by the look of Samsung Galaxy S3, this handset dons a smooth metallic look, measuring 134.5 x 70 x 11.64 mm and weighing 165 gms. The projection window places itself at the top of the device, making that area slightly swollen.

Sporting a 4.66-inch TFT display, with 480×800 pixels resolution and 200 ppi of pixel density, this smartphone runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean toppled with Samsung’s own TouchWiz UI. Samsung Galaxy Beam 2 derives its power from 1.2 GHz quad-core processor backed by 1 GB of RAM. It comes packed with a host of Samsung Galaxy Beam 2 features, such as, Accelerometer, Compass, Gyroscope, Proximity sensor, and many more. However, the highlight of the phone remains the pico projector, which comes equipped with background color-correction feature and resolution of 800×480 pixels, promising to deliver improved image quality than its predecessor.
