Fruit juices, especially citrus ones are highly acidic for the body and should be avoided at night. Also, juices give the body a rush of simple sugars without any fiber which might cause the body to produce unchecked insulin at night, not letting the body to rest.
While we all know that our body needs protein at night to repair the damage that we do to our body throughout the day but what we do not know is that proteins take a lot of energy to be digested. So if you are consuming a large volume of meat at night, it is giving your body too much protein to digest.
