Shorts in peppy colours:
The flavour of the season is to go ultra short. Opt for an array of shorties in peppy colours like orange, pink, blazing white, mint green and sky blue. You can go for violet, brown and yellow too. The idea is to wear stuff that will make you like bright, happy and upbeat. Ultra shorts are ‘in’ this season, so choose a pair that shows off your pins in the best possible way.
Straw hat:
Straws not only protect you against the sun, but also act as a valuable accessory. In fact, they are the best statement accessory you could hope for this summer. Pair them up with a long flowing skirt or a hot pants. Put them on with a thong or a summer dress…these straws will elevate your outfit, no matter what you choose to wear. You can opt for beaded hats, string hats and colourful pipings to add a bit of pop to your outfit.
Flip-flops:
Available in a riot of colours, these are what every girl needs. From asymmetrical prints to vibrant shades, flip-flops are what you need to make a ‘casual-meets-sexy’ style statement. These are not restricted to the beach alone, you know. Wear them with cropped pants, skirts and even kurtis. Be it a lazy Sunday brunch or shopping sprees with the buddies, the flip-flops never go out of fashion.
Nude gloss:
The only way you’re colouring up this season is via your clothes and not lips and eyes. It’s time to go nude on the lips and eyes because fresh-faced look is the flavour of 2014.
