We know that women don’t really need a day to get gifts. But it would be nice to spoil them silly this Women’s Day. Whether she believes in the day or not, she is not going to say no to a thoughtful, yet quirky gift. Read on!
Flowers:
One of the cutest gestures ever, flowers never really go out of fashion. From date days to special occasions, flowers are an all-season gift. Gift her something colourful and watch her eyes pop in surprise and joy. It need not be roses always. Gift her pink orchids, bluebells or white lilies and watch her swoon. Whether she is a feminist or not, flowers are something she will love and appreciate.
Handmade gift:
Nothing screams ‘love’ more than a thoughtfully crafted handmade stuff. It could be a greeting card, a beaded necklace, a book of pictures, a collage of your time together or a painting/caricature. It will not only tell her how much you love her, but also show her the efforts you have taken to make her feel special. We are not just talking about your better half here, it could be your mother, teacher and boss too. You could also put together a colourful goody basket, filled with things that she would dig.
Temple jewellery:
Women love jewellery. Period. Even if she is not into it much, there will be one piece of accessory that she can’t do without. Give diamonds and pearls a miss this season and opt for classy temple jewellery that she can pair with her saris and traditional clothes. It’s the ‘in’ thing this year and has been favoured by actresses and Page 3 beauties for a while now. You can find affordable imitations on the net or can pick up cheap versions off the street!
Pub/meal vouchers:
Who doesn’t like to be treated to good food and drink? Take her out for scrumptious dinner or drinks. Or give her meal/pub vouchers that she can use with her girlfriends. This way, your problem of ‘will-she-like-the-gift’ problem is solved too. She will definitely not say no to an evening of food and drinks, so go right ahead and gift her this. Start reading up on all the new joins in your town so you can go pub-hopping in style!
Spending time:
What better gift than spending time with her? We know how busy you both are with your flourishing careers and how difficult it’s to take out time for each other. But by spending a whole day doing nothing but talking, chilling and hanging out with each other is the stuff dreams are made of, right? Indulge in it while you can. Take a break and shoot off to your favourite place for an awesome time with your woman.
All these gifts are great, but what you really need to give her is your unconditional love, support and care.
