Memory Boosting Techniques – Do you always have a hard time remembering where you kept all your things? Do you always struggle with that and then you get into trouble? Are you upset about it? Alright, then this is the article that’ll help you understand about how to remember things.
Don’t worry about whether you’ll be able to really improve your memory or not, because with these techniques you certainly can. You don’t have to change a lot in yourself. You clearly have to change your lifestyle a bit.
So here’s something that you should start focusing on to improve your memory. (Memory Boosting Techniques)
- Get a good night’s sleep
Let’s start with this. Look, sometimes what happens is you work too much and then again you sit with your mobile phone till late night and the time-limit of your sleep decreases. In order to get a good night’s sleep, you must make sure that you’re getting 8 hours proper sleep. Sleep plays a very important role when it comes to how good you’re at remembering things. So, try to get maximum sleep as possible because it’s really beneficial.
- Meditate
Find a quiet place and sit down somewhere to meditate. Be away from all the chaos and try to find peace. Meditating for 20 minutes a day is very helpful. But make sure that you’re doing it whole-heartedly.
Sometimes when you sit and meditate, you automatically remember things that you forgot to do. Isn’t that amazing?
- Eat healthy
There’s a reason why people say “eat healthy”. Eating healthy will change a lot more in you and you’ll be happy too. Replacing your junk food with fresh vegetables will not only prevent your problematic skin issue, but it’ll also improve your memory.
That’s the reason people say “what you eat matters a lot”.
- Be attentive
Do your REALLY pay attention towards things that are going around you? Are you able to remember them? Understand that it’s very important to pay complete attention, in order to remember it later.
Observation plays a significant role in all this. Does it happens with you that sometimes your mom is saying something and you don’t listen to it but you keep on answering “Yes, I’ll do that” etc. But when the time comes, you’re like “I don’t remember what you said”. It happens because you didn’t pay attention to her words.
- Do not multi-task
Multitasking is not an easy thing. I understand that there is many work pending and so you’ve to do them quickly. But try as much as you can to not multi-task things. What will happen is while multi-tasking, you’ll miss out on at-least one thing and then you’ll regret. So do one thing at a time.
- Notepad
Use a notepad to write about things that you should be doing today. In your mobile itself there’s a notepad, right? So write everything in there and then complete all your work accordingly. Easy, isn’t it?
- Do activities
When in free time, do activities instead of watching movies. Just go out and play with your buddies. In short, do something different this time instead of just sleeping and stuff. Doing activities will open up your mind to many different things and you’ll feel better as well.
- Use chunking method
Chunking is practiced by many people and it really helps too. A person’s short-term memory is only able to hold 4-5 things in mind. Thus, chunking breaks the information into smaller parts and then you’re able to remember more things. For e.g. break phone no. to remember it e.g. suppose it’s 7846589…, then remember it this way i.e. 784-65-89 …it’ll be easy.
This was all about the memory boosting techniques.
