Don’t date this guy!

You are at a friend’s party and you get those special looks from this guy, who looks decently attractive. You both get into a conversation and he asks you out for a date. In the spur-of-the-moment you say yes and next you find yourself with him at a fancy restaurant. But you don’t seem to be enjoying your time with him and just want to break free. If he is any of these personality types, you should totally avoid him and a lot of unnecessary grief.

The self-obsessed: You are wearing your best dressed and have admired at yourself in the mirror before going out with him. Of course, you will try to woo him with your looks and charm. But hey, he doesn’t even say a word of appreciation. All that he is talking about is how he’s a favourite amongst girls in office, his swanky new car, his dad’s flourishing business, his this and his that. He is so full of himself that all he can do is brag and doesn’t seem to realise how big a turnoff his pompous attitude is.

The penny stinker: After spending a good time on the menu, he asks what you would like to eat. You both call for an elaborate meal. You call for the bill and he doesn’t even move an inch to take out his wallet. The bill arrives and out of courtesy you say, “let me…” and before you could complete the sentence and cleanly passes the bill to your side and smiles in approval.

The mumma’s boy: The day starts on a good note, but a few pegs down, he starts moaning about everything in life, even his ex girlfriend. Then he jumps over to discussing his mom and how beautiful and efficient she is, and how he would like his girlfriend to be like her. He takes indecisiveness to new heights and happily tells you how he hasn’t bought a thing in his life without his mom’s help and approval. His mom has chosen even the clothes, watch and shoes he is wearing for this date.

The feel-up artist: You meet him and extend your right hand for a handshake. He ignores that and instead keeps his hands on your waist as a gesture to hug. Though you feel a little awkward, you don’t pay much attention to it. While you walk, he keeps his hands on your shoulders, then moves them through your back to your waist and occasionally runs his fingers on your neck. While you are sitting in a restaurant, he holds your hands and tries to play with your fingers. Enough!

The rude guy: He is all smiles and pleasant to you but when the waiter doesn’t come your table immediately, he tells him rudely how he is not doing his duty properly. When the food arrives, he minutely checks everything and if something is not perfectly down to the minutest detail from his brief, he yells at the waiter and calls the restaurant’s manager and makes sure the waiter gets scolded in from of him by the manager as well.
