As the weekend approaches, our level of ‘debauchery –anticipation’ also goes up. But most of us are always worried about the consequences of a binge. But if you’re preparing to get hammered, do keep these must-dos in mind. Read on!
Full tummy:
Before getting down to your drinks, eat well. Having alcohol on an empty stomach can totally get you drunk and give you a massive hangover the next day. Whether it’s meat, fresh fruits or even a sandwich, you have to eat something before guzzling down bottles of beer. It will also help you consume less alcohol than an empty tummy.
Booking a cab/hiring a driver for the night:
If you want to get super thrashed, book a cab or hire a driver who can bring you home. Even if you’re with a bunch of friends who can ‘drive even when drunk’, don’t encourage them to. No point playing with your life and that of others. It doesn’t matter if your senses are ‘just fine’ after a couple of pegs, you should not endanger your life by driving back home.
Deleting your ex’s number:
Why do you still have it? Well, if you do…it’s time to hit the delete button on this number before sitting down to enjoy your drinks. If you plan to get overly emotional after your pegs, there’s no point having his/her number on your phone (tempting you to call/text them). In fact, you can even keep your mobile switched off so you can enjoy your evening in peace. Trust us, the Twitter and Instagram updates can wait.
Informing your folks:
In your excitement to gulp down alcohol, you might forget to inform your friends and family about your whereabouts. If the binge sessions goes overboard and you end up in a mess, you need someone to help you. You never know what could happen during your drinking session…you just never know. So be prepared.
Spare stuff:
Whether it’s a tee to be worn in case you puke on your dress, mobile charger if you run out of battery. Spare change, credit cards and even lens solution and case (for those who were lenses). It’s important to have all these before you get smashed because you never know how the night will turn out to be.
Most importantly, drink with the intention of having fun than getting drunk. Hope you guys have a safe and enjoyable weekend!
