Pride and Prejudice (Jane Austen):
One of the classics from the era gone by, this Jane Austen tale tells the story of a girl caught between her love and ideals. Through twists, turns and Austen great sense of humour, the novel is one of the most read love stories of the world. Let’s face it, most of us have lost beautiful years of our lives looking for Mr Darcy, haven’t we? Well sketched characters, interesting plot developments and a quirky look into the lives of the high society, this book made us all fall in love. We are sure that you have read this book plenty of times. But this one never gets old, does it?
The Time Traveller’s Wife (Audrey Niffenegger):
Beautiful, complicated and sometimes unbelievable, this love story fights all odds to have a great happy ending. It’s the story of Henry, librarian, who can time travel, and his relationship with his lover and later wife, Clare. It’s passionate, touching and makes you feel for the lead characters who are trapped between their duties and love for each other. Does the English patient walk into the sunset with his lady love? Or does the war veteran have a story as anonymous and forgettable as his name?
