At least 10 militants were killed and several others injured when they attacked a paramilitary troopers’ convoy in Pakistan’s southwest Balochistan province Saturday, Xinhua reported.
Local television channel Express TV earlier reported that an unknown number of heavily armed militants attacked the Frontier Constabulary convoy when it was passing the Mand area of Turbat district.
The channel further reported that the attack resulted in a fierce exchange of fire between militants and the troopers in which 10 militants were killed and several others injured.
No loss of life was reported on the troopers’ side.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
