A day after the Aam Aadmi Party leaders told the Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung that they would form the government in Delhi, the party’s top brass, on Tuesday, identified the cabinet ministers.
Apart from party heavyweights Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, the list of AAP MLAs who have been shortlisted for cabinet posts include Saurav Bhardwaj, Somnath Bharti, Rakhi Birla, Satendra Jain and Girish Soni.
Confirming this information, Saurabh Bhardwaj, AAP MLA from GK said, “It is a big honour that among 28 names our names were shortlisted.”
Arvind Kejriwal is scheduled to be sworn in as Chief Minister at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan on Thursday.
Earlier in the day, Kejriwal released a video wherein he explained the party’s position on government formation in Delhi. The effort was an attempt to communicate how, despite taking support from the Congress, they were determined to follow their agenda and pursue promises they made to the people of Delhi.
