#Entertainment is one of the sources that keep humans sane.

With change in time, #foreignTVshows have taken over local serials as our favoured leisure preference.

Almost every household in India has TV shows playing ranging from #FRIENDS to #HouseMD and #Sherlock.

Not only do we watch these shows on television, but download them or watch them online.

The different concepts these shows bring make you fall in love with them and these are the signs that depict you as a foreign TV show addict.

Once you realise that a person or a group of individuals are into foreign TV shows, you immediately strike a chord with them. Regardless of whether you prefer watching #sitcoms, #mysteries or #horror shows, you discuss each and every episode with them. They are now your #BFFF.

You always have one character from each show that you like to imitate or find yourself in their shoes. Over time, your behaviour becomes like them, which your friends might find annoying. However, if they are TV show geeks, they join in the fun, too.

Your discussions about a particular show or episode are intimate. As part of the group, you spend time arguing and speculating how one scene could have been differently shot or how it could have ended another way. This form of brainstorming is one of your favourite activities.

There’s no question that you are active on different social media platforms like #Facebook and #Twitter as well as communication platforms like #WhatsApp, #Hike or #WeChat. Your profile pictures and cover photo comprise the image of either your beloved character or the TV show poster.

You spend Saturday evenings and the whole of Sundays watching TV show episodes. If you do not have one episode, you download it via #Torrent, meanwhile watching an episode of another show.

Internet is filled with websites dedicated to TV shows. You either choose to read the synopsis for an episode or avoid reading them completely. You do not like season finales, as you have to wait another year for the show to begin. You deliberately delay watching them.

More often than not, you prefer downloading the episodes so that you can watch them on your laptop over and over again. You do not hold yourself back to buy a new HDD wherein you can store numerous TV shows that you can eventually watch at your leisure time.

You hate spoilers.

Your obsession with your favourite TV show or character’s merchandise grows substantially. You keep a track of shops that sell them or log in to Flipkart or other online ecommerce store to place an order immediately.

Most importantly, you are not ashamed of this obsession as you know that there are millions (and millions) of people, who share the same fixation as you.
