During her appearance on Comedy Nights with Kapil not too long ago, Ekta Kapoor famously quoted, “I make TV for women and films for men”.
And she seems to be sticking to her words, for they cannot be taken back.
As compared to Ekta’s television shows, which become quite boring thanks to their prolonged duration, her films have done quite well at the Bollywood box-office.
Coming back to the ‘films for men’ part, she is also responsible for getting Sunny Leone her first item number in the Hindi film industry (Laila in Shootout at Wadala). It appears that she has vowed to crank it up a notch with every film she makes, which is evident with her soon-to-be-released film “XXX”.

No, that’s actually what the title of her 2016 release is – XXX, which goes with the tagline ‘Valentine’s Chod Ab Sirf Palang Tod’.
The AIB Roast of Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor caused massive furore recently dividing the country into supporters and criticisers. In the midst of all the commotion, the “Queen of Television” decides to make a movie title ‘XXX’. Is she serious?
If reports are anything to go by, the audition for the film is being carried out with great zest and the makers are using a unique technique to hire the cast.
They have organised a Twitter campaign wherein any and every person can audition. Any individual can send his or her audition video hoping to get shortlisted.
Ekta has already selected Ken Ghosh as the film’s director (renowned for Ishq Vishk, Fida and Chance Pe Dance).
XXX’s plot will comprise short stories that circle around one of modern youth’s favourite interests – EROTICA.
The movie is bound to make millions, but it is an open audition and you never know, as you might get to star in it.
