How to be healthy – Stop cribbing about bad health and a dull face, follow these and get set to welcome 2015 in a sexier avatar, with a bang!
A big hello with a smile to all my friends who are reading me here.
As you know that we are all set to welcome 2015 in just few days from now. A fresh year, a fresh start, with new promises to make and fresh resolutions to fulfil.
I am sure in the upcoming new year we can have better experiences, more health, healing and hope for ourselves and our families, only if you are determined to attain all.
But, where to begin, as this is not just a New Year resolution, this is going to be a promise to self for the rest of our lives.
Health; be it mental, physical or spiritual health, is a journey. It has to be a complete plan towards wellness that originates from positive intentions. I understand that change is not easy, but it is achievable if we go one step at a time.
Real health is about addressing our physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing, because all three are connected and affect our physical health every day. So let’s begin.
Here are some effective ways to get started TODAY for a Healthier, Happier and eventually a SEXIER YOU in 2015:
- First and foremost, get your hormone levels checked. So many cancers today are caused by an imbalance of hormones. Treat the root cause.
- Start eliminating junk food, aerated drinks, canned food, treated food from your daily diet. As much as possible, try to avoid any artificial or machine products. Most of the health disorders are caused due to chemicals and additional harmful stuff used to make artificial food products. They harm our health a little on a daily basis.
- Start eating healthier: more fruits and vegetables, beans, nuts, seeds and berries. Avoid all meats that have hormones, antibiotics, etc. Introduce coconut into your diet which gives the body needed ketones and helps with memory issues.
- Drink organic milk, coconut, almond milk, and organic or green tea only. Teas are like spices, they have so many nutritional benefits for the body, but avoid regular factory manufactured teas with hidden pesticides.
- Drink filtered water with lemon to balance your body’s pH level. Apple cider vinegar also balances the pH levels, but don’t forget to add the cinnamon and honey!
- Exercise. This isn’t necessarily always big workouts, rather daily walks, stretching, weights, bicycling, jumping, jump roping, etc. are more than enough only if you fit them into your daily routine.
- Detoxify. Consider a detox regime to rid your body of toxins and take fibre for daily elimination. Detoxing doesn’t have to be difficult and it can bring the body back to health. Remember, toxins bring diseases. An effective detoxification can be carried out by being on an all fruit diet at least once a week.
- Drink a smoothie every day. Some of the things you can use to make your smoothie are organic fruits, vegetables, coconut milk, an omega 3 source, brewer’s yeast (B vitamins), gelatin (collagen), and protein powder with all kinds of adaptogens, herbs, plant enzymes, extracts and superfoods.
- Take a good multi vitamin if you are not consuming a balance diet every day. Research says that most of us are not getting the required vitamins and minerals that our bodies need.
- Take a strong probiotic daily for the gut, especially if you have been on a lot of antibiotics. Most diseases start in the gut and then proceed into the bloodstream to every organ. Probiotics help build up the good bacteria.
- Cook with a lot of natural spices. Research indicates that spices can change blood pressure levels, blood sugar levels and heal some diseases. Natural and organic herbs used in the cooking can bring a lot of health and an added taste to your meals.
- Get more sleep and try to reduce your stress. Staying up late and rushing early for work the next day doesn’t let you get your required sleep quota and results in an irritable and stressed you. Keep your sleep above all the late night entertainment.
- Meditation is a great way to bring your stress levels down. Take out an hour or two from your week and sit in a peaceful corner to meditate on a pleasant thought. If you can do it daily, it will bring miracles to you.
- Lastly, start reading about health. Today’s changes will determine tomorrow’s health. It is NEVER too late to get started! The more you read, the more you become aware and start to act accordingly. It’s your health that is the most powerful asset. Develop it at the forefront.
The easiest changes occur when we work one day at a time. One small step taken every day seems like cutting the edge of what seems to be an incredibly large mountain in front of us.
However, today’s little changes will make tomorrow a better day with a quality of life that is happier and brighter for each one that equips us to meet the challenges. If we take today’s health a little more seriously, hopefully tomorrow’s pain will be a little less, doctor visits a bit less, and a life little more fuller to enjoy with those we love.
I am sure I am going to see a healthier, happier and sexier you if you resolve to take care of self.
Wishing you all a healthier, happier and sexier 2015!
