Belgian winger Eden Hazard and Spanish hotshot, Diego Costa completed a miserable outing for the Gunners as manager Jose Mourinho recounted yet another victory over manager Arsene Wenger.
Besides the fact, Chelsea took comfort from their victory, there was some BAD news for the ‘Special One’ their number one stopper, Thibaut Courtois was carried off injured before the first goal after colliding with Alexis Sanchez and was taken to hospital after being replaced by Petr Cech.
So with Chelsea setting up yet another priceless victory in the EPL, is it time already to announce them as the worthy winners of the Championship or can the Gunners bounce back in the title race? Well, here are the 5 talking points from this feisty London derby that we learned:
1 – Arsenal need a BIG CDM in the middle of the park
Even though Mathieu Flamini had a blinder of a game at the Stamford Bridge, the Gunners couldn’t prevent the opposition attack to score the goals and make the darting runs in the box. Chelsea had the likes of Obi Mikel and Nemanja Matic to thank but Flamini is just ain’t good enough for Wenger and Arsenal at the moment.

The Spanish duo of Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa are working and gelling quite well at Chelsea. The duo again combined to leave the Arsenal defence reeling as the Blues triumphed yet again. With other matches coming up in the league, this pair could take Mourinho’s men to the title triumph even before the final match.
3 – If only Wenger’s outburst could have had a bearing on his team
20 minutes into the game, Chelsea defender Gary Cahill sent a rash tackle onto Arsenal player, Alexis Sanchez that left the Gunners’ manager seething with fury. Out came the French gaffer and also confronted the opposition, Mourinho. But with that said, if the manager had that ‘passion’ on the touchline, then why didn’t the players?
4 – Danny Welbeck must STEP UP!
After scoring a hat trick in midweek (an easy opposition), Manchester United outcast Danny Welbeck hit a dry spell at the Bridge. The England forward couldn’t penetrate in the opposition half and hardly troubled the Chelsea defence. If the youngster fails onto the bigger games, like these, Wenger has to splash the cash!

12 matches played and Arsene Wenger has yet to break the duck of beating Jose Mourinho. Even though the duo clashed at the touchline with shoves and foul words, the Portuguese might just take the upper hand as the latter’s side beat the Gunners yet again!
