After seeing their side perform below par in the EPL game against Burnley, Manchester United fans might be relieved to see the sight of their valuable asset – Angel Di Maria in action.
Manager Louis Van Gaal bought the Argentine winger from Real Madrid for 59m pounds. But if the Red Devils were making the ‘right noises’ here’s the big news coming in – Manchester United have agreed a season-long loan deal with Monaco for striker Radamel Falcao
Reports in the British press suggest that a plane carrying the Colombian forward is expected to arrive into the Manchester airport and could see the striker heading for talks and a medical at Old Trafford.
Manchester United were not the only club linked with the hotshot forward but the last 24 hours saw a host of Premier League clubs including Arsenal and Manchester City as well as European champions Real Madrid.
Prior to the Manchester United deal, it was rumoured that Champions League holders Real Madrid were favourites to sign Falcao after the latter tweeted, “Hello Madrid” on Sunday” only to delete it later on.
With the arrival of Falcao, this could end the spell of strikers Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck at the Old Trafford stadium. Hernandez has been linked with a move to Real Madrid and Welbeck is reported to be wanted by a number of Premier League clubs with Sunderland, Arsenal, Tottenham and Hull City all interested.
With the likes of Angel Di Maria, Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie and Juan Mata on the attack; the arrival of Radamel Falcao gives the Red Devils’ attack a whole new dimension!
