The ideal destination for returning man Divid Moyes – After an unsuccessful six-month stint at Manchester United, David Moyes is ready to take the plunge yet again into management as the Scot has declared, ‘œI am ready!’
After an unsuccessful six-month stint at Manchester United, David Moyes is ready to take the plunge yet again into management as the Scot has declared, “I am ready!”
Speaking to BBC, Moyes declared that he is ready to return to management. “I am ready to return. I have enjoyed the time off but I have got to wait on the right job and make sure it’s one that I want.”
He further adds, “I’m really ambitious. I would never have left Everton for anybody but an ambitious football club and I thought Manchester United would have given me that opportunity. It didn’t materialise that way so I am hoping that the next club I join gives me the chance to build a team because that is what I am good at.”
As Moyes gears to return in English top-flight football, which club could be the ideal destination? We pick 5 English clubs that could offer Moyes the ‘time and money’ required to run a football club:
Newcastle United
One of the strugglers in the EPL, manager Alan Pardew and the fans are at crossroads with the form they are in and are currently languishing at the bottom of the EPL table. Moyes is no miracle worker but prior to Manchester United, Moyes had a terrific stint at Everton and that could be the ‘saving grace’ for Newcastle United and David Moyes.
Burnley
They might be newly promoted side with less amount of budget but Burnley are yet to kickstart their campaign with a win. With just 4 points in eight games played; manager Sean Dyche has got a real headache. But if Moyes moves in, the Scot could play a vital role in keeping the Turf Moor side up in the Premier League.
Sunderland
Sunderland has just won a single game in 8 games played and recently were thrashed 8-0 by Southampton. Even though Gus Poyet’s managerial in-charge looks decent, may be a managerial change is required at the Stadium of Light and none better than Moyes to replace the former.
Queens Park Rangers
Back in top flight football, QPR are managed by Harry Redknapp but are still in the bottom three of the EPL table. The rumour mill is flying that the English manager is not ready to commit to the job as of yet and that may sound alarm bells at the ‘Hoops’ top-level. But never the less, if the bosses pick David Moyes, surely the latter could be the ideal replacement for Harry Redknapp and provide the ideal result in the coming games, if appointed!
West Bromwich Albion
Yes, the West Bromwich Albion have appointed a new manager this season in Alan Irvine but still the latter holds no EPL experience. A series of defeats could peg Albion back into the relegation battle and that could prove more hazardous to the fans and the players. May be, if David Moyes chipped in to take the hot seat, things could change quickly!
