Nigerians led slightly at the beginning of the game on Friday, but Mozambique took the lead at the end of the game with a three-pointer in the dying minutes to clinch the victory, reports Xinhua.
The tournament, scheduled to end Sep 29, is Africa’s most prestigious women basketball tournament and features 12 teams.
The finalists of the tournament will earn the two tickets to qualify for the 2014 women’s FIBA World Championship in Turkey.
