Many top European clubs, including Barcelona, Chelsea and Manchester City were monitoring the situation and willing to sign Adnan but now Moyes and company heave a sigh of relief.
Januzaj played a starring role in Manchester United’s win over Sunderland a fortnight ago in the Premier League. With the defending champions trailing 0-1, the youngster celebrated his first league start with two goals to turn the game around and give his team a crucial 2-1 victory. Moyes played a key role in the development of a young Wayne Rooney at Everton and he feels that the 18-year-old is on par with the English striker.
“Wayne Rooney, Charlie Nicholas, Paul McStay – Adnan would be in that category,” Moyes said. With Manchester United taking on Southampton this weekend, Januzaj’s future will be a much greater news than dropping points for Moyes.
