Luis Suarez Is A Crook And Should Be Banned, FIFA Is A Sitting Duck!

The Court of Arbitration for Sport heard Luis Suarez’s ban appeal and it will announce the decision next week, a statement from the court said.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport heard Luis Suarez’s ban appeal and it will announce the decision next week, a statement from the court said.

This comes after the football’s governing body, FIFA had banned the controversial striker for 8 months after that ‘bite’ on Italy’s Giorgio Chiellini in the FIFA Group D game.

The Barcelona-bound forward had issued a plea to FIFA to reduce the ban but the governing body rejected the appeal. Thus Barcelona and Suarez’s representatives approached the Court of Arbitration to rework on the appeal.

A statement from the panel announced that to the parties that the former will issue its decision as soon as possible, probably before the end of next week. Even though the ban is held, that didn’t stop the transfer activity as the Uruguayan made his move to the Nou Camp from Liverpool.

A reported $126-million transfer from Liverpool last month on a five-year contract was agreed upon between the two clubs. So, if the Court upholds the appeal, Suarez rightly deserves so! He’s been a crook all this while. Right from his Ajax days followed it up to Liverpool and now in international colours, Suarez has donned that ‘evil’ role all this while. He might have been termed as the ‘saviour’ at Anfield but Suarez deserves the ban.

Suarez’s ban expires on October 25, the same day his side; Barcelona visits the Bernabeu to play Real Madrid in the highly anticipated, ‘El Clasico’. He’s also set to miss three of Barcelona’s six Champions’ League group games.

After the second round loss to Colombia, Suarez and the Uruguay management sent the striker back home to spend some time with the family. But Uruguay FA knows, there in a big problem as the Catalunian could miss eight matches of his competitive internationals. That includes Uruguay’s defense of the Copa America that kicks off in Chile in June 2015, and the start of 2018 World Cup qualifying matches next year.

Though the world is talking about Suarez and his ban, the victim though, remained calm and called on the FIFA to reduce the ban. In a quote to the Italian press, Chiellini pressed on the issue that the ban should be reduced. He said, “I said at the time I thought the ban was excessive and I hope it can be reduced.” Now, that’s sportsmanship Mr. Suarez! Unlike you, there are some quite nice people in the world who do not want fellow footballers to suffer. In your case, the football should always prevail and the perpetrators must be punished.
