Manchester United holds an upper hand over Manchester city. Rooney has already had an excellent start to this year’s EPL and also Fellani’s entry into the team makes it a good side as compared to Manchester city –Christopher Crasto supports Manchester United
Going by the current form, it has to be Manchester United. Rooney is fit and firing again and van Persie is known to be finding the back of the net with his half hit shots. Having said that, City is slowly finding their groove as seen in the last Champions League fixture. Vidic and Ferdinand will have to be on their toes to stop Dzeko, Aguero and Yaya Toure. A fiesty 2-1 to City considering it’s being played at Etihad!
– Hussain Zaidi, an ardent City fan
Manchester United of course. They seem to be playing well with Rooney in form. Most likely to win 4-2.
– Gopal Arjun supports the Red Devils
I think the match will be evenly poised as both the teams have new managers and they will take some time to adjust, but if I have to choose sides, I think United have a slightly upper hand as they look in form with Rooney’s coming back along with Robin van Persie plus Fellaini is also there. So, I would go with United 2-1 win. I expect City to score. Would want Edin Dzeko or David Silva to score as they are in my Fantasy Premier League Team
– Dhruvil Patel, a true Manchester United supporter
With a change of guard at both halves of Manchester, this one will be a tight one to call. Especially now, when both have played their top teams midweek for Champions League. City may have the home advantage, but United at the same time are known to be party-spoilers. Heart says the balance skews towards the Red half of Manchester, but head says it will be a stale-mate this time in the Blue Manchester.
-Sagar Tanna, another Manchester United fan
I think Manchester United holds the upper hand. They’re on a high after their 4-2 Champions League victory against Bayer Leverkusen, Wayne Rooney is at an all-time high and his partnership with Robin van Persie is only begining to grow and improve. Marouane Fellaini is standing out bright in the United mid-field. This being his first Manchester derby, there’s bound to be a fine performance from his end. Both will be strong on defence. 2-1 to Manchester United.
-Amreen Bhujwala
Manchester United obviously hold the upper hand as we have our strikers who are in some crazy form and it is not going to be easy for Vincent Kompany and Co. to handle this duo. I’m going for a 2-1 to United
–Fahad Sheikh believes it will be United again!
Manchester derby has been one of the most awaited encounters among the football fans around the globe. For me Manchester united clearly hold the upper hand going into this match, considering the players are in form. Wayne rooney has made remarkable comeback with van Persie and Valencia; both had a good game in the champions league draw. Man City have played roughly in the league so far.As always, this derby will be the one to watch out for. I think Manchester United will win the derby. GGMU!!!
–Sushant Chhabra, a diehard Red Devil
Let’s face it. It’s a Manchester derby. The red devils vs the noisy neighbors. Its a game that won’t define the season the season for either of them but then again when has derby matches been of anything other than ego. United seem to have the edge with Rooney out to forge something out of nothing with Moyes while let’s just hope pelligrini doesn’t get sacked by the whimsical shiekh ! GGMU !!
–Ayush Rakyan believes United hold the edge
United will stand tall at the end of the Derby. Clearly having an upper hand with the team coming together in the last 2 competitive games against Crystal Palace followed by Bayer Leverkusen. Two in form forwards versus a limping City defence, United it is However will be nice to see the battle of the giants in the middle. 6’3 Yaya Toure vs 6′ 4 1/2 Marouane Fellaini. Finally a Roy Keane like presence in the middle for the Red Devils. 2-1 united with van Persie, Rooney and dzeko on the sheet
